SESOR SUPPORTS DISPLACED FAMILIES AS CASH SCARCITY BITES HARDER

Lagos, Nigeria. March 17th 2023,

Sesor delivered food packages to 150 displaced families in Lagos through a door-to-door outreach to help them cope with the harsh effects of cash scarcity brought on by a poorly and hastily implemented cashless policy.

The scarcity resulted in food shortages, bringing the IDPs businesses to a complete standstill and impairing their sources of livelihood making it even harder to access basic necessities.

This outreach was with met with joy. “I’ve been thinking about how the family would get through the week before the food packages came in” Grace, a Sesor beneficiary, stated “We’ve been unable to get a single food item due to the cash scarcity”

Together, we can Repair!

Sesor has been assisting displaced women and their families through our various programs for the last 12 years, and we’re looking forward to doing even more during this coming Easter.
