Inspiro Productions, producers of the The Lagos International Jazz Festival, has selected Sesor as one of two official charity partners for this year’s Lagos @ 50 Special Edition of the Lagos International Jazz Festival. Sesor will advocate and fundraise for displaced persons in Nigeria at this year’s Jazz Festival.

The Festival runs from 28th-30th April, in the same month designated as Jazz Appreciation Month in America. International Jazz Day is also on April 30.

Inspiro Productions CEO, Ayoola Shadare, says, ‘The Festival is pleased to be jazzing for good with two charities this year. We look forward to working with Sesor to advance the cause of the displaced and other disaster survivors across Nigeria. We are also partnering with The Down Syndrome Foundation. Both charities do important work and we hope that the platform The Lagos International Jazz Festival provides for the promotion of these causes will go a long way towards improving the lives of the Nigerians they serve.”

“We are proud to be associated with the Lagos International Jazz Festival this year and look forward to telling the stories of the amazingly resilient survivors of emergencies from Maiduguri, Lagos, Benue and other parts of Nigeria.” says Ier Jonathan-Ichaver, Sesor Executive Director.

There are over 2million internally displaced persons across Nigeria. Sesor works to provide relief and rehabilitation services to displaced persons and currently has programs in Benue, Borno & Lagos.
