SEASON’S GREETINGS: UPDATES FROM SESOR

Mr Macaulay with the women and the Sesor Programme team

On Friday December 1, the International Church of Christ (ICOC) Lagos, visited our office to donate food items to our women & their families. Mr Kofo Macaulay presented the items to the women on behalf of ICOC. They gladly received the items which included rice, beans, cooking oil & tomato paste.
Addressing the women at the event on behalf of ICOC, Mr Macaulay welcomed the women saying: “We have heard stories about your struggle and your unwavering resilience and we are very happy to give you these items to support your families.”
In appreciation, Sesor’s Executive Director, Ier Jonathan-Ichaver said, “It gives us great joy to see that our work with these survivors is always appreciated through various supports. We will keep up the good work and hope to solicit more support to impact more lives. Thank you so much for your support.”
The women were not left out in showing their appreciation as their spokesperson, Hajia Karo, said “Thank you very very much for helping us. May God bless you all. Mun-go-de (‘WE ARE GRATEFUL’ in Hausa).

Last week, our Charity Walk-a-thon partner (remember the Walk on October 1?!), Fieldco Limited, donated the sum of N350,000 towards supporting victims of the August Benue flood. As part of their corporate social responsibility, Fieldco organizes an annual charity walk-a-thon event on every October 1st which aims to cater to identified needs and impact the lives of the less-privileged who have very few options to surmount real challenges. This year, their selected beneficiaries are the Benue flood victims.
We are absolutely delighted about the donation as the funds will be used to support our work rehabilitating victims of the flood within the first quarter of 2018.

And finally…help us close the year in a spectacular way!!

We would like to have a Christmas party for our women & the children of the women this Friday 15 Dec 2017 BUT we need your support!

As we wrap up activities for the year, what better way to celebrate a productive year and appreciate these young survivors than a party with lots of gifts, games, dance and laughter?
Help us make it happen. We already have some money for some toys to give as gifts. We need cash for food, drinks etc. Please donate to our GTB A/C 0170089727.
Thank you
